FLY OVER ROYAL SHIP - Red Bull Air Race Rotterdam 2008
The pride of the British navy liner RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 graced the Dutch port of Rotterdam with his presence on Friday, settled in the largest port in Europe just in time for the Red Bull Air Race this weekend. Red Bull Air Race pilots Nigel Lamb and Steve Jones of Great Britain and Hungary's Peter Besenyei welcomed the royal vessel, with a mastery of the transition from a respectable height of 1000 meters. With a "smoke on" Salute, the British-led education to pay their respects anchored on the QE2Rotterdam dock right next to the Red Bull Air Race track and the Erasmus Bridge. The 963 meters long ship in Rotterdam from his home in Southampton in southern England arrived on Friday morning. When the last of the great transatlantic ocean liners, the 40-year-old ship, scheduled to leave their journey to Rotterdam before their well-deserved retirement later this year.
