The Launch Of HMS Diamond

HMS Diamond the Type 45 "Daring Class" was launched on November 27 in 2007. The third of six Type 45 Air Defence Destroyer under construction, considered as "most capable destroyer of the Royal Navy ever described," and "the world's best air defense ship" The 8000 tonnes of designing the largest Escort class ship ever built for Royal Navy S1850M uses the latest 3-D air surveillance radar in combination with SAMPSON Multi-function air tracking radar to enable the Type 45'sTo detect and locate air targets simultaneously to 1000 from a range of 250 miles.
